Earthballs and Education
Author: globeguy
The inflatable EarthBalls are a wonderful compliment to the standard globes found in every school classroom. While a political globe enables students to locate countries and cities, only an EarthBall (or a trip to outer space) gives the true perspective of how our world actually appears.
Teachers and students of all ages love EarthBalls, and have discovered its usefulness in a wide range of subjects, from the natural & Earth sciences including geography, meteorology, environmental science, to the social sciences of history, culture, exploration, current events, and many subjects involving global relationships.
EarthBalls are used daily for educating students from preschools to universities. As a tactile and visual classroom aid, EarthBalls enhance the teaching of both natural and social sciences. Every EarthBall comes with the 16-page Global Handbook detailing games & activities, as well as resources for creative curriculum development.
Frank Lloyd Wright® Wright Floor Globe
Author: globeguy
This world globe stand is an authentic reproduction from a drawing found in the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation archives. It is an unidentified concept for one of the Prairie Homes that Mr. Wright de-signed in the early 1900s. The only marking on the drawing is in his handwriting and says, “Something like this.” The proportions, and interpretation, of the drawing were calculated based on the scale of other drawings from this time period.
16″ diameter
39″ height
23″ Width
Hardwood base with dark walnut finish
Antique ocean color
Replogle World Globes adopted this design in 2008 for the Frank Lloyd Wright® Collection.
